Unimaid Microfinance Bank (UMFB) Limited was incorporated on 17th day of December, 2007 with Registration number RC723213 by the Corporate Affairs Commission, Nigeria. It obtained a banking license from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on 21st February, 2008 and commenced microfinance banking business in February 2008 with a fully paid-up share capital/ asset base of Twenty-five million (25,000,000.00) as Unit microfinance bank.
